Within the broad categories above, certain types of schemes have been preferred, for example:
- Bursaries and allowances for education and training
- Youth clubs, sports and holiday playschemes
- Counselling projects which are properly structured
- Pioneering child care and parental support schemes
- Youth arts
- Partnership projects with the local authorities
Support has not been limited to the disadvantaged. There has been an equal concern to encourage talent and 'enable
the enabled'.
